The project, titled "Mary’s Tears," is an immersive, multidimensional installation that reimagines the symbolic Fritillaria (inverted tulip, or Mary’s Tears) flower from Persian mythology as a metaphorical memorial, honoring Iranian women's courage as a contemporary tribute to women seeking basic freedoms, and offering a powerful reflection on identity in a memorial concept within both Iranian and Canadian contexts. Materials will be used for this work, including Plexiglas, neon lights, plaster, and suspended glass droplets.
