Drawings

Afsaneh Khoondi approaches art with an instinctive spirit, sometimes drawn to colour, other times to line. She is deeply interested in the noble traditions of painting, drawing, and printmaking. For her, drawing acts as an immediate and intuitive way of expressing intellectual and emotional excitement—especially when such feelings cannot be conveyed through colour. In this context, colour can feel like a delaying element, while drawing provides a more direct, spontaneous, and pure connection between the artist and the work, leaving no barrier between intention and creation.
